Shrimp Cocktail
This recipe is difficult for me to describe because I do not like seafood. I know, I know … but I can’t help it. Trust me… I’ve tried many forms of seafood and it all tastes like the smell of the ocean to me. blah!
This shrimp cocktail, however, is one of my husband’s favorites. It’s full of fresh ingredients and makes a great snack or appetizer.
My grandmother, mom and sister make this frequently because they say its so good.
Ingredients
Adjust Servings
| 1 Lb Tailless shrimp | |
| 1/4 small onion | |
| 1 Garlic clove cut in half | |
| Garlic powder | |
| Salt | |
| 1/2 Cucumber | |
| 2 Green onions | |
| 1 Tomato | |
| 1 Jalapeño | |
| 1/4 bunch Cilantro | |
| 1 Avocado | |
| Splash of Lemon juice | |
| 1+ cup Clamato (spicy or plain) | |
| 1+ cup Shrimp broth |
Substitution and optional addition
| 1 + Cup Cocktail Sauce instead of Clamato | |
| Tajin for rim of the glasses |
