Carne Con Chile
medium
This recipe is my sister’s version of Carne con Chile which roughly translates to meat with chilis. It is basically a meat cooked in a chili sauce. It would normally be paired with beans and rice and maybe a small shredded lettuce salad.

1-2pounds beef | |
2cans El Pato sauce (any flavor) | |
8 oz can tomato sauce | |
1small onion | |
2cloves garlic | |
2 jalapeños | |
2tsp oil | |
1cup water |
Directions
1.
Lets get started
Chop your onion and garlic and set aside. Take your jalapeños and slice them long-ways into thin slices then set aside.
In a large skillet, fry your onions for about a minute then add your beef. Continue to cook at medium heat until the beef is almost done. Add the garlic and jalapeños at this time. Let the meat cook a little longer until cooked thru. Add the el pato sauce then fill the can with water and add it. Next add the tomato sauce and another can of water. Mix the sauce as best you can with the meat. Now you let this cook down until the sauce thickens a little. You don't want a watery sauce.
