Gorditas

Gorditas is something we would eat in the winter months and usually with Athole or Champurada. When you think about it its a weird food to dip but somehow it works.

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
2Cups Masa
1/4tsp Baking soda
2tsp Baking powder
1/2tsp Salt

Directions

Follow the bags instructions for mixing the masa. Add the baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix with your hands and form thick small tortilla shapes. About 1/2 inch thick. Place them on a pan with or without oil and cook them as you would a corn tortilla. * You can also roll these out thinner and put cheese in the middle then fold them in half and cook same as above.
